Back in February, something I never thought would happen… I picked up a 2004 MCR30 Estima. It is V6 FWD.
2023 visit
I was visiting my friend Suenaga-san. We haven’t seen each other since 2020, but always stayed in contact. When I arrived, he had an MCR30 Estima Aeras at his place. He said mark the stuff I wanted and he would take those parts off before he would crush it.
I started to look at the Estima thinking that I could probably try to do a front end conversion… but when I looked how clean the exterior and interior was… I was overcome with emotions of building it. I then asked does he have all the paperwork (which he does) and I asked what’s wrong with it (thermostat went out) and I asked when he got it (he said yesterday the thermostat went out and the owner said he didn’t want to deal with it). Right then and there, my brain started to churn.
It’s so clean!!!!

Since this is a 2004, the headlights I believe is the facelift version between 2004-2006
KOITO 28-165 – headlight with Xenon
- 1st step is to address the thermostat.
- 2nd Change out water pump
- change out cooling hose
- possible radiator?
I wanted to get all the components of the cooling system changed out while in Japan. I will also probably have a tune up and change all fluids.
Okay time to break it down.
Interior tune

I should have taken more pictures.. but that is what really sold me.. That interior is so damn clean. It has the OEM mats and they don’t look worn!
If we look on the door handle, it has some trim kit.. but I can’t see anything else. I am hoping it already has a trim kit, but I realy like this:

But there is an even more complete kit!!! seller is philippo960372598
